Prime Minister Receives Salva Kiir’s Security Advisor

Sudanese Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris received today (Wednesday) in Khartoum, the Security Advisor to the President of South Sudan, Tut Gatluak, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister’s Advisor, Nizar Abdullah Mohammed; the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Mohammed Ali; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Muawiya Othman Khalid; and the Sudanese Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan, Lieutenant General Issam Karar.

The meeting discussed strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common interest. It also addressed the need to expand cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic sphere, and the importance of political coordination for the benefit of both nations.
Galluak arrived in Khartoum yesterday for a visit to Sudan, during which he will discuss a number of political and security issues. He is expected to meet with several officials, including Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.
