NMSF Delivers Four Containers of Intravenous Fluids to Kassala State as Part of Early Rainy Season Preparedness

As part of its early preparedness for the upcoming rainy season and efforts to strengthen the readiness of health facilities across the states, the National Medical Supplies Fund (NMSF) has delivered four containers loaded with various intravenous (IV) fluids to Kassala State.

The shipment is part of the Fund’s pharmaceutical supply plan aimed at securing essential medical needs and ensuring the continuity of healthcare services.

Dr. Asmaa Ahmed Omar, Director of the National Medical Supplies Fund Branch in Kassala State, said the shipment arrived at a critical time, before some localities become difficult to access due to anticipated heavy rains, flooding, and road closures during the rainy season.

She explained that the branch immediately began distributing the supplies to all localities across the state according to a well-structured distribution plan, ensuring that hospitals and health centers maintain adequate stocks of intravenous fluids throughout the rainy season.

Dr. Asmaa added that the initiative forms part of the NMSF’s proactive strategy to secure essential medical supplies and enhance the preparedness of health facilities, thereby ensuring uninterrupted and efficient delivery of healthcare services to citizens during the rainy season.

The National Medical Supplies Fund continues to implement its programs to support Sudanese states with essential and life-saving medicines and medical supplies, particularly during periods marked by logistical and climatic challenges that require strengthening medical stocks and maintaining a steady flow of supplies.
