Minister of Justice Chairs Regular Meeting of the Ministry’s Council

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Darf, chaired the Ministry of Justice’s regular council meeting today, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry and members of the Council.
The meeting discussed a number of important issues, including a revised draft amendment to Minister of Justice Circular No. (2) of 2022 concerning the application of regulations governing the stages of appealing legal opinions issued by legal advisers in matters or disputes involving state institutions.
The Council also reviewed a proposed draft circular outlining the principles and procedures for delegating the authority to authenticate government contracts. In addition, members discussed the ongoing preparations for the Bar Qualification Examination and stressed the importance of completing all necessary requirements as soon as possible to facilitate the examination.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a committee was formed to review and finalize the drafting of both proposed circulars for submission at the next Council meeting for approval. The Council also recommended convening a meeting of the Council for the Regulation of the Legal Profession next Monday to approve the examination date and commence the registration process.
