Minister of Higher Education Commends the University of Sinnar for Stabilizing Academic Activities and Addressing the Impact of War

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Mohamed Mousa, praised the University of Sinnar for its significant role in ensuring the continuity of the educational process. He commended the university’s efforts in reconstruction and addressing the academic challenges caused by the war, affirming that the institution is progressing well in line with its planned academic agenda.
For his part, the Director of the University of Sinnar, Professor Abdelrahman Ahmed Mohamed Ismail, stated that the university has graduated 853 students from six faculties, in addition to 46 postgraduate students, whose results were officially approved during the latest meeting of the University Professors’ Council. He noted that the academic calendar is proceeding as scheduled, having commenced in August and set to conclude in September.
He further explained that approximately 60% of the reconstruction of facilities affected by the war has been completed, while efforts continue to finalize the remaining work. He added that the rehabilitation of damaged laboratories will be carried out under a three-year recovery plan.
The University Director also confirmed that all students who had been temporarily relocated to campuses outside the conflict-affected areas have now returned to the university’s main campus and resumed their studies normally, reflecting the restoration of a stable academic environment and the university’s successful recovery of its educational activities.
