Minawi Concludes European Tour and Returns to Khartoum

The Governor of Darfur, Mr. Minni Arko Minawi, returned to the country this morning following a foreign tour that included Germany, France, and several other Western European countries. During his visit, he held a number of meetings and activities related to national and regional issues.

He was received at Khartoum Airport by several leaders of the Darfur Regional Government and SLA/M officials, who welcomed him back and affirmed their support for efforts aimed at strengthening stability and advancing development and peace in Darfur and Sudan as a whole.

Over the coming days, the Governor will undertake a series of meetings and activities related to following up on political, developmental, and security matters in the region.
