Higher Education Minister Confirms Final Return of Universities to Their Original Campuses

Sudan’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Madawi Musa, has confirmed that arrangements for students’ return to Sudan have been completed, stressing that the decision to return all higher education institutions to their original campuses is final and has been fully implemented by both public and private universities.
Speaking during a visit to the temporary campus of the University of Geneina at the University of Khartoum in Shambat, the minister said the government remains committed to restoring academic activities and supporting post-war reconstruction.
He also highlighted ongoing reforms, including digital transformation, quality assurance, academic staff development, and renewable energy projects across universities.
The University of Geneina administration affirmed that academic activities have continued successfully from its temporary campus with support from the Ministry and the University of Khartoum, while the National Fund for Student Welfare pledged to continue providing services and support to students during the transition back to their original campuses.
