Federal Ministry of Health Undersecretary Participates in the 29th Pharmaceutical Industries Forum in Amman

Amman –
The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker Sayed Ahmed, participated in the 29th Pharmaceutical Industries Forum, organized by the Arab Union of Manufacturers of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Appliances, held in Amman, Jordan, from 1–2 July 2026. He was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Bashir Al-Amin, Secretary-General of the National Medicines and Poisons Board.
During the forum, Dr. Ali Babiker presented a scientific paper titled “Achieving Pharmaceutical Security During Wars,” highlighting the major challenges and opportunities facing the pharmaceutical industry. He emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation in the production of medicines and medical supplies to support the development of the healthcare sector and achieve pharmaceutical self-sufficiency.
Dr. Mohamed Bashir Al-Amin, Secretary-General of the National Medicines and Poisons Board, is also scheduled to present a scientific paper focusing on updating pharmaceutical regulations in Sudan.
The forum brought together a wide range of experts and representatives from Arab pharmaceutical companies to discuss ways to promote innovation and exchange expertise in order to ensure the sustainability of the pharmaceutical industry across the region.
