Farini Highlights Workshop Success in Advancing Social Care Systems

The Minister of Social Development of Khartoum State and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Preparing the Workshop on Developing Shelters and Social Care Systems, Siddiq Hassan Farini, praised the great efforts made by the ministry’s staff, as well as the technical and organizational committees, in ensuring the success of the workshop organized by his ministry in cooperation with the Higher Council for Strategic Planning and Information earlier this week.
Farini affirmed that the spirit of teamwork and institutional collaboration was the key factor behind achieving high-quality outcomes, which represent a starting point for advancing the social care system in the state.
He made the remarks while chairing a meeting today to evaluate the performance of the workshop’s organizing committee.
The meeting reviewed the preparation and implementation stages, assessed performance, highlighted key achievements and lessons learned, and discussed mechanisms to follow up on the implementation of recommendations and transform them into practical programs and projects.
Farini stressed that the workshop achieved its scientific and practical objectives and produced strategic recommendations that will positively contribute to shaping the social development agenda in Khartoum State.
He noted that these recommendations will support the modernization of shelters and social care systems through a forward-looking vision that responds to the requirements of the reconstruction and recovery phase.
He added that the outcomes will help improve social services, making them more efficient and sustainable.
The meeting also reviewed reports from the committees formed for the workshop, covering organizational, technical, and media aspects. The committees confirmed the success of the event in attracting specialized expertise and enriching scientific discussions, leading to practical and implementable recommendations.
Members of the committee praised the support provided by the ministry’s leadership in coordinating with partners, which contributed significantly to the success of this important scientific event.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of building on the achievements made and accelerating the preparation of an implementation plan to follow up on the workshop’s recommendations.
This will contribute to developing social care policies, improving the quality of services provided to target groups, and strengthening a scientific planning approach in addressing social issues in Khartoum State.
