Deputy Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Forces Coalition Calls for an Inclusive Sudanese Dialogue to End the War

Salah Hamid Al-Wali, Deputy Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Forces Coalition, said that the meeting between the Democratic Bloc leadership and the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, focused on Sudan’s future and ways to reach a political solution that would end the war while preserving the country’s unity and stability.

Al-Wali stressed that the solution to Sudan’s crisis must be Sudanese-led, with all political, civil, and community stakeholders engaging in an inclusive national dialogue on the country’s future, free from external dictates, while benefiting from regional and international support that contributes to achieving peace.

He explained that the next phase requires two parallel tracks: a political track involving national, civil, and community forces, and a security track addressing the consequences of the war and leading to arrangements that ensure the country’s stability, in line with the principles outlined in the Jeddah Declaration.

Al-Wali emphasized that Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and the integrity of its state institutions are non-negotiable, noting that any political dialogue or settlement must preserve the Sudanese state and prevent the establishment of parallel entities or projects that threaten national unity.

He added that the Democratic Bloc and other national forces will continue supporting state institutions and the Sudanese Armed Forces while expanding engagement with various political and civil actors, stressing that the current stage demands national unity and overcoming divisions rather than deepening them.

The Deputy Chairman further stressed that the priority now is to move beyond discussions and take practical steps to create a conducive environment for a comprehensive Sudanese dialogue, enabling national forces to participate responsibly in achieving lasting peace, political and social stability, and paving the way for Sudan’s reconstruction and the building of a strong and stable state.

Concluding his remarks, Al-Wali said:
“We support a Sudanese dialogue that unites rather than divides, a peace that safeguards the country’s unity and sovereignty, one state with unified institutions, and a future shaped by the Sudanese people themselves.”
