Cultural Night in Khartoum Honors Secondary School Certificate Examiners

The National Student Welfare Fund organized a distinguished cultural evening in honor of the examiners of the Sudan Secondary School Certificate examinations, in the presence of the Minister of Education and National Education, Dr. Al-Tahami Zein Al-Hager, the Ministry’s Undersecretary Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, the President of the General Trade Union of Public Education Workers, Abbas Mohamed Ahmed Habiballah, along with senior officials from the Khartoum State Ministry of Education, including Dr. Hamadnou and Dr. Ammar Zakaria.
The ceremony featured a variety of cultural performances that reflected deep appreciation for teachers who continued carrying out their duties in marking examination papers despite the exceptional circumstances.
In his speech, Abbas praised teachers and expressed gratitude for their sacrifices, affirming that they restored Khartoum’s spirit and vitality. He emphasized the union’s continued efforts to improve the conditions of public education workers, while commending the support provided by the Minister of Education in this regard.
He also praised the Sudanese Armed Forces for their victories in Al-Kurmuk and expressed hope for positive developments in El Geneina, while extending thanks to the Prime Minister for his support to the examination markers.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Hamza Al-Amin, Secretary-General of the Student Support Fund, described teachers as “soldiers in the battles of dignity,” affirming the Fund’s commitment to contributing to the reconstruction of what was destroyed by the war.
At the conclusion of the event, the Minister of Education and National Education paid tribute to Sudanese teachers across all states and thanked everyone who participated in the Secondary School Certificate examination process, including male and female teachers, workers, and security and police forces across more than 3,000 examination centers.
He also congratulated the Sudanese Armed Forces on their victories in Al-Kurmuk, announcing that the Secondary School Certificate results would be released from El Geneina and that celebrations would be held in Nyala.
