Secretary General of the NSWF Inspects Khartoum State Dormitories to Assess Readiness for Opening

The Secretary General of the National Student Welfare Fund (NSWF), Dr. Ahmed Hamza Al-Amin, accompanied by a high-level delegation of members of the Fund’s Board of Trustees and directors of general departments, inspected several university campuses and dormitories in Khartoum State. The purpose of the visit was to assess the final arrangements and ongoing maintenance work in preparation for their anticipated opening by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The visiting delegation included Dr. Sir Al-Khatim Al-Amin (President of the Sudanese Workers’ Union) and Dr. Mohamed Al-Misbah (Secretary General of the Sudanese Workers’ Union). The delegation was received by Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Kaltous, Secretary of the NSWF in Khartoum State, along with the staff of the state’s executive office.

The Secretary-General and his accompanying delegation conducted field visits to several student housing complexes across the state. These included the Martyr Al-Fatih Hamza City in Al-Fatihah, where the delegation toured the city and observed the final touches being made to the ongoing maintenance work, which is expected to be completed within the next few days.
The delegation also visited the Suad Tombul University City in Khartoum, where they reviewed the progress of the work and renovations. They then visited the Nafisa Omar Jankur City and the Martyr Abu Dujana City in Khartoum, concluding their tour in Bahri. The delegation concluded their field visit in Khartoum North, inspecting the Martyr Abdul Salam Suleiman dormitory, followed by a visit to the Martyr Atif Al-Tijani City.

During their visits, the delegation reviewed all aspects of the recent maintenance and renovation work and ensured the readiness of the dormitory facilities, including cafeterias, health units, mosques, and prayer rooms, to guarantee a suitable and stable living environment for male and female students from the start of the academic year.
