Opening of the High Dependency Unit (HDU)at port Sudan Pediatric Hospital

As part of its ongoing efforts to support and strengthen healthcare institutions in Sudan, the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) announced the inauguration of High Dependency Unit (HDU)at port Sudan Pediatric Hospital .The initiative aims to enhance critical care services and improve the quality of medical care provided to children in the state.
The project was funded and supported by the Canadian organization Drops of Mercy and implemented in collaboration with several international partners, including the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Ahlam Abdelrasoul, Acting Minister of Health of the Red Sea State, praised the vital role played by SAPA, describing the association as a genuine partner in the development of healthcare services in the state. She also commended the efforts of the international organizations that contributed to supporting this humanitarian project.
The opening of the new unit marks a significant advancement in the healthcare system of the Red Sea State and reflects a successful model of cooperation between national medical professionals and international partners in addressing current healthcare challenges and providing better medical care for children.
