Minnawi from Blue Nile: Kurmuk will be liberated, and the country’s borders will be protected by the strength of men and women
Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Umda Badi, Governor of Blue Nile State, received today in Damazin Commander Minni Arko Minnawi, Governor of Darfur State and Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement, who oversees the Joint Force, accompanied by a number of Joint Force commanders.
Minni Arko Minnawi visited the 4th Infantry Division Command, accompanied by the Governor of the State, where they reviewed the overall situation, the recent victories achieved, and the ongoing efforts to complete the liberation of the state’s territory and cleanse it of the scourge of rebellion and the remnants of the terrorist militia of the Dagalo family.
He explained that the visit comes within the framework of visits aimed at supporting the great national cause in light of the targeting and invasion aimed at dismantling the unity of Sudan through the introduction of weapons and mercenaries from neighboring countries.
He pointed to Sudan’s honorable historical stances and its support for all neighboring countries by providing relief to the distressed peoples of the region throughout history, extending a helping hand, and strengthening joint action with neighboring countries through international forums in defense of them and their rights.
He expressed his astonishment at the positions of some neighboring countries, which are exploiting their territories to allow the entry of remnants of mercenaries and Janjaweed terrorists to destabilize the region, terrorize, and violate the rights of unarmed civilians. He affirmed that Kurmuk would be liberated and that the country’s borders would be protected by the strength of its youth, men, and women.
For his part, Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Umda commended the positions of Commander General Minni Arko Minnawi and his contribution to supporting the armed forces and joint forces, as well as their sacrifices in the Battle of Dignity. He praised Minawi’s visit to the region and its impact on raising the morale of the region’s citizens in general.
He reviewed the lofty goals of the Juba Peace Agreement for Sudan, foremost among them securing the unity of the country and forming a professional national army to protect the country’s gains. He noted that all the region’s borders would be secure and that the liberation of Darfur would commence to ensure the unity of the country. For his part, Major General Ismail Al-Tayeb Hussein, Commander of the 4th Infantry Division, praised the sacrifices of the joint forces in liberating Darfur and cleansing it of the terrorist militia. He affirmed that the next phase will witness the liberation of Kurmuk and the expulsion of the rebels and remnants of the terrorist militia beyond Sudan’s borders.
