King Salman Center to Rehabilitate Six Hospitals in Sudan

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a joint executive program today with the Competencies Organization for Studies and Human Development to rehabilitate six hospitals and establish three oxygen plants in the states of Khartoum, Al-Jazirah, Red Sea, and North Kordofan in the Republic of Sudan. This project will directly benefit 3 million people.

The program was signed by Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, and Dr. Arif bin Awad Abdul-Halim Al-Rikabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Competencies Organization, at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh.

The project includes providing essential medical equipment for the emergency, intensive care, trauma, operating, pediatric, inpatient, recovery, medical imaging, and laboratory departments. It also includes the establishment of three oxygen plants in the targeted hospitals, along with the installation of the equipment and plants and the training of medical and technical staff on their operation. This will contribute to enhancing the hospitals’ readiness and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to beneficiaries.

The agreement comes as part of a series of humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, to support the medical sector and help patients around the world.
