Head of Education Union Appeals to Leadership to Improve Teachers’ Conditions

President of the General Union of Public Education Workers in Sudan ,Abbas Habiballah, visited teachers working in the Sudanese Secondary School Examination Control Center, where he praised their tremendous efforts in marking examinations and supervising the exam process. He emphasized that their work represents a fundamental pillar of the educational system.

During the visit, the union president called on both the Chairman of the Sovereign Council and the Prime Minister to pay greater attention to teachers’ conditions and improve their working environment, stressing that teachers are the cornerstone of building future generations and shaping the nation’s future.

He also explained that the General Union of Public Education Workers and the Sudanese Professional Teachers’ Union have completed preparations for accommodation centers to host more than 7,000 male and female exam markers.

Around 1,000 teachers involved in the Secondary School Examination Control Center have already been accommodated in recent days, as part of efforts to provide a suitable environment for teachers while carrying out their national duties.
For his part, Mr. Khalid Ali Othman, Director of the Examinations Administration, thanked the Education Union for the visit and its continued support for teachers.

The efforts of the General Union of Public Education Workers and the Sudanese Professional Teachers’ Union in providing accommodation and logistical support for teachers reflect their strong commitment to improving teachers’ welfare and working conditions.
