Conclusion of the Training of TOT Workshop on the Use of Digital Innovations in Health for the SHARE and THABAT Projects

The Federal Ministry of Health, in collaboration with UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO), concluded today, Thursday, at Al-Rakouba Tourist Resort in Omdurman, a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on the use of digital innovations in health for the SHARE and THABAT projects.

The workshop brought together participants from several states, as well as representatives from the Police, the Armed Forces, and the National Council for Medical and Health Professions.
Dr. Asmahan Al-Khair, Acting Director General of Primary Health Care, emphasized the importance of training on the use of digital innovations in health, noting that such technologies enhance the effectiveness of the health system, reduce time and effort, and provide opportunities for better patient follow-up. She stressed the need for strong coordination between the health sector and relevant stakeholders.

Dr. Al-Khair praised the active engagement of participants throughout the workshop and commended the efforts of the trainers. She described the workshop’s recommendations as ambitious and emphasized the importance of developing an operational plan for their implementation.

For her part, Tamadur Mohammed Saleh, the Focal Person for Smart Health Applications in Primary Health Care, stated that the workshop produced numerous recommendations, identified key challenges, and proposed practical solutions. She noted that the recommendations would be overseen by the Primary Health Care Directorate.

Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of the participants, Mujahid Abdel Razig expressed appreciation to the organizers of the Training of Trainers workshop, which included representatives from the Armed Forces, Police, the National Council for Health Professions, and the Federal Ministry of Health. He affirmed the participants’ commitment to applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the training and their readiness to cooperate closely with the health sector.
