Ambassador Mohamed Al-Ghazali Inaugurates Sudan’s Pavilion at the Foreign Literature Library in Moscow

The Foreign Literature Library in Moscow witnessed the inauguration of the Sudanese pavilion on Friday. The Sudanese Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mohamed Al-Ghazali Siraj, and Ms. Marina Zakharenko, Director of the Foreign Literatures Office, cut the ribbon in the presence of the Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps and a number of ambassadors accredited to the Russian Federation.

The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the official celebration marking the 70th anniversary of Sudanese-Russian relations. The Sudanese Ambassador and the Library Director signed a donation agreement for books to the Foreign Literature Library in Moscow, granting permission for their access and circulation among readers.

The Sudanese section contains works by Sudanese authors and others about Sudan by Russian Orientalists, covering various topics related to civilization, culture, antiquities, literature, and politics, according to a report published by the Sudan News Agency. Ambassador Mohammed Al-Ghazali stated that this signing will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with a cultural and academic dimension, contributing to a deeper mutual understanding and cultural and academic exchange between the two countries for a long time to come. It will remain a lasting memory for the library administration and its patrons, including readers, researchers, and academics.
