The French Ambassador to Djibouti presents his credentials to IGAD

Days after the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu, received His Excellency Ambassador Jérôme Brisson, the French Ambassador to Djibouti and accredited to IGAD, who presented his credentials. The meeting addressed geopolitical developments in the Horn of Africa and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between IGAD and France, particularly in the areas of peace and security, economic development, and regional stability.

For his part, Workneh Gebeyehu affirmed that France is a valuable partner and that France looks forward to deepening its cooperation to support shared regional objectives.
