Sudan’s Health Insurance Fund Strengthens Coverage Through New Institutional Partnership

In a step aimed at enhancing healthcare and improving the work environment in government institutions, the National Health Insurance Fund and the National Roads and Bridges Authority signed a partnership protocol to provide health coverage for the Authority’s staff through the Additional Medical Services Package Program.
The protocol was signed in the presence of Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daem, Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, Eng. Ahmed Osman Al-Sheikh, Director General of the National Roads and Bridges Authority, Dr. Al-Farabi Ibrahim, Director of the Additional Medical Services Package Program, along with a number of senior officials from both institutions
Both parties emphasized the importance of the partnership in supporting job stability and enhancing employee satisfaction by providing integrated and high-quality healthcare services to employees and their families, thereby contributing to increased productivity and an improved work environment.
The protocol aims to enable employees of the National Roads and Bridges Authority to benefit from a comprehensive package of additional medical services, including specialized examinations, diagnostic and treatment services, as well as various health benefits provided by the Fund in accordance with the latest medical standards.
Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daem stated that the agreement comes within the Fund’s plans to expand health insurance coverage and deliver quality services to various institutions and entities, highlighting the Fund’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that contribute to the development of the health sector and the achievement of universal health coverage.
For his part, Eng. Ahmed Osman Al-Sheikh expressed his appreciation for this step, affirming the Authority’s commitment to caring for its employees and providing them with the best healthcare services, as they are one of the most important pillars of work and productivity.
The implementation of the protocol is expected to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to employees and open broader prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides in the coming period.
