Sudan Marks a Notable Presence Among Leading Global Defense Industry Producers

Defense Industries System Participates in “SAHA 2026” Exhibition in Istanbul

With broad participation from countries and international companies, the activities of the “SAHA 2026” International Defense, Aviation, and Space Industries Exhibition kicked off at the Istanbul Expo Center, continuing until May 9 under the slogan: “The Heart of Technology Beats at SAHA.”

According to the Sudan News Agency, Sudan recorded a distinguished presence through a comprehensive pavilion organized by the Defense Industries System. The pavilion featured more than 90 products and services across military industries and related technologies, reflecting the advancement of national capabilities in this vital sector.

The Sudanese pavilion was attended by Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris Suleiman, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Military Industries and Director General of the Defense Industries System, alongside Minister of Defense Hassan Daoud Kabroun, Major General Al-Mu’tasim Abdullah Al-Haj, Deputy Director for Defense Product Development, as well as Sudan’s Ambassador to Turkey and the Sudanese Consul in Istanbul.

The Sudanese pavilion attracted notable interest from participants and visitors from around the world, who explored the displayed products and services and expressed appreciation for Sudan’s experience in defense manufacturing.

It is worth noting that this year’s edition of “SAHA 2026,” organized by the SAHA Istanbul Defense and Aerospace Cluster, witnessed participation from more than 120 countries and 1,700 companies, including 263 foreign firms, with over 200,000 visitors and 30,000 industry professionals.
The exhibition also features the unveiling of 203 new products and will showcase high-tech innovations for the first time, including capabilities of autonomous vehicles equipped with advanced technological systems.
