Ministry of Social Development Discusses Ways to Support the “Indiyah” Handicrafts Forum

The Director General of the Ministry of Social Development and Acting Minister, Sadiq Hassan Farini, held an extensive meeting today with writer and journalist Dalia Elias and Mashaer Osman, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Awal Al-Nahar newspaper.

The meeting addressed mechanisms for the Ministry’s participation as an active and supportive entity for the “Indiyah” Forum, which is scheduled to be held on the 16th of this month under the slogan “Your Craft is Your Safety.”

Several key points were discussed, most notably the support of local industries and the role of the forum in highlighting handicrafts and small productive professions, in addition to the importance of providing a platform to showcase the creativity of artisans.
Minister Farini affirmed the Ministry’s interest in the forum, pointing to the strategic partnership that aligns with the Ministry’s plans to support productive families and develop the social development sector.

For her part, Dalia Elias, the forum coordinator, stated that the “Your Craft is Your Safety” initiative aims to enhance the value of manual work and open new marketing opportunities for participants, ensuring the sustainability and development of these traditional professions.
She added that the “Indiyah” Forum is one of the cultural and social initiatives that seek to create a community movement supporting creators across various professional and craft fields.
