Minister of Higher Education Reviews Stability of Studies and Reconstruction Efforts at the University of Khartoum

As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s follow-up on the stability of higher education institutions and the full resumption of academic activities, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Madawi Musa, met in his office with the Director of the University of Khartoum, Professor Imad El-Din Ardeeb, in the presence of the University Vice Chancellor, Professor Mahmoud Ali Ahmed.
The Minister received a detailed report on the progress of academic and administrative activities at the university, as well as the achievements made in stabilizing studies across various faculties. The report also highlighted ongoing efforts to ensure the continuity of academic and administrative work efficiently despite the challenges the country has experienced during the recent period.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation status of the university’s reconstruction projects within its main campuses. The report indicated noticeable progress, particularly at the Shambat complexes of the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, in addition to the Medical Colleges Complex, as part of the university’s plan to fully restore its educational and service environment.

The Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of in-person examinations across the university’s faculties, which are currently being held within the university’s official campuses, affirming that the return of in-person examinations and studies represents an important step toward restoring full academic stability.
The meeting further discussed the continuation of the university’s plan to sustain in-person learning during the coming phase. The university administration reaffirmed its commitment to the decisions of the Deans Council regarding the closure of external centers and focusing on managing the educational process from within the university’s original campuses and facilities.
The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the Ministry and the university administration to support recovery and reconstruction efforts, contributing to restoring the University of Khartoum’s leading academic and national role.
