Minister of Higher Education Affirms Support for Nyala University

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Madawi Musa, met with the Director of Nyala University, Professor Saber Adam Hassan, and received a comprehensive briefing on the university’s performance during the recent period, including the continuity of educational, administrative, and academic activities despite the current challenges.
The Director of the university explained that in-person classes are continuing for the faculties of Medicine, Medical Laboratories, Nursing, and Engineering in the city of Kosti. He also noted that graduation examinations for the Faculties of Engineering and Medicine were organized in Khartoum, while practical training for students of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences is ongoing at the Veterinary Hospital in Karni, with their examinations scheduled to take place after the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
He added that studies in the other faculties are proceeding regularly through the online learning system.
The Director also highlighted the ongoing efforts to complete the formation of the University Council so it can effectively play its role in supporting the university during the next phase and enhancing its academic and administrative stability.
For his part, the Minister stressed that the country is going through exceptional circumstances that require unified national efforts. He pointed out that the state has doubled salaries despite the current economic conditions, emphasizing that the national duty requires the continuation of the educational process and teaching Sudanese students in support of stability and the future.
He called on university directors to exercise patience and address the conditions of educational institutions in line with the requirements of the current phase, while strictly enforcing legal measures against violators. He also affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to providing the needs of Nyala University and supporting its stability during the coming period.
