Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Offers Condolences at the Home of the Late National Artist Magzoub Onsa
Member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, offered condolences at the residence of the late national artist Professor Magzoub Onsa in Al-Hattana, in the presence of the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Khalid Al-Aiser, and Khartoum State Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, Al-Tayeb Saad Al dean .
Speaking on behalf of the Global Space Center for Culture and Media, Mukhtar Dafallah and Adel Sanada highlighted the late artist’s contributions to the center’s programs carried out in partnership with the Khartoum State Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism.
The Governor of Khartoum stated that the late artist remained closely connected to the state throughout the war period and was present at all national occasions and cultural activities through his timeless patriotic works. He noted that his last appearance was only three days ago during the Artists Union night event. The Governor announced that the state, through the Ministry of Culture and Information, will work on documenting the life and legacy of the late artist.
Minister Khalid Al-Aiser also expressed commitment to the partnership with Khartoum State to preserve and commemorate the late artist’s works, and conveyed condolences from the Prime Minister and members of the “Government of Hope” to the family.
Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber described the late artist as a national icon whose passing represents a great loss for the country, noting his long-standing personal acquaintance with him and praising his kindness and noble character. He added that the late artist remained a key figure in the national movement and played an important role in supporting and encouraging the return of displaced citizens and welcoming returnees. He further affirmed his support for the joint initiative between the Ministry of Culture and Information, Khartoum State, and the Global Space Center to document the artist’s works and legacy.
