Khartoum State Honors Saudi Ambassador for Humanitarian Contributions

Khartoum State today honored the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, on the occasion of the end of his term in office, during a meeting of the Higher Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management chaired by the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza.

The Governor of Khartoum stated that the recognition came in appreciation of the ambassador’s significant efforts and valuable services provided through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, particularly in the areas of food assistance and the provision of high-capacity generators to operate Al-Manara Water Station and several hospitals across the state, in addition to drilling a large number of wells.

The Saudi Ambassador affirmed that the support provided by the Kingdom was a duty toward their brothers in Sudan. He announced that the next phase would include the establishment of a prosthetics manufacturing center in Khartoum to treat war victims, as well as the launch of a Saudi project for mine clearance and the removal of war remnants in residential and pastoral areas.

He also revealed plans to provide 60 ambulances and kidney dialysis machines through the World Health Organization.
