Human Appeal Owns Fleet of Water Distribution Trucks Providing Free Drinking Water in Khartoum East Nile

The British organization Human Appeal – Sudan Office, on Monday continued implementing its program of distributing clean drinking water to several areas affected by the war in the localities of Ombada and East Nile in Khartoum State. This comes as part of its humanitarian efforts aimed at combating water scarcity and alleviating the suffering of citizens.

Musa Hamad, supervisor of the organization’s clean water distribution operations, revealed that distribution is carried out through daily trips to supply areas including: Dar Al-Salam Block 51, Ombada Block 38, Dar Al-Salam Square 1, Ombada Al-Mansoura, Dar Al-Salam Block 48, in addition to Ombada Sector Five, and Al-Ad Al-Jadeed area in East Nile locality. A large number of affected families have benefited from the provision of safe drinking water amid the significant challenges facing water services due to the consequences of the war.

Hamad affirmed the continuation of their humanitarian interventions to meet the basic needs of citizens, especially in the most affected areas, contributing to improved public health stability and reducing risks associated with the lack of drinking water.

Al-Fateh Ismail, Secretary of the Services Committee in Al-Ad Al-Jadeed area, expressed his gratitude to Human Appeal for their efforts in supplying large quantities of clean drinking water. He noted that these supplies help combat thirst in the area and reduce disease, adding that the organization responded quickly, and the water tanker arrived promptly, meeting the needs of residents.

It is worth noting that Human Appeal – Sudan Office has eliminated the cost of renting water tankers by owning its own fleet of water transport vehicles, which has supported daily distribution operations and eased the burden on citizens.
