Formation of Joint Committees Between Khartoum State and Zadna International to Identify Reconstruction Projects

Chaired by the Secretary-General of the Government of Khartoum State, Ahmed Al-Mustafa Ali, a joint meeting was held between Khartoum State and Zadna International Investment Company.
The meeting discussed areas of mutual cooperation, based on the company’s expressed interest in contributing to the reconstruction of Khartoum by selecting a number of priority sectors that had been previously reviewed in earlier meetings.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Minister and Director General of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Al-Tayeb Saad Al-Din; the Acting Minister and Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Eng. Abdel Wahid Abdel Moneim; the Director General of the Roads, Bridges, and Drainage Authority, Eng. Mukhtar Omar Saber; and the Director of Partnerships at the General Secretariat of the Khartoum State Government, Ezzeldin Abdel Rahman Saleh.
Zadna presented a proposal to develop Nile Street in Khartoum and Al-Saha Al-Khadra (Green Square) according to international standards.
For its part, Khartoum State proposed several projects in the areas of road rehabilitation, tourism development, land ports, and bus transport.
The meeting concluded with a decision to form specialized committees to study the proposed options, develop a comprehensive vision, and submit it to the state government within two weeks for approval, paving the way for implementation following the signing of final agreements.
