Head of the Community Peace Council Leads Efforts to Mend Social Fabric in Sennar State

Head of the Community Peace Council, Al-Nur Al-Sheikh Al-Nur, affirmed that mending social fabric is a crucial step towards achieving social security in Sudan.

During his visit to the areas of Sinja, Dinder, and Umm Shuwka in Sennar State, he stated that he met with the Governor of Sennar, Major General (Rtd.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayed, and the State Security and Native Administration Committee.

He confirmed that a delegation has been formed to conduct good offices aimed at mending social fabric, promoting social cohesion, unifying national will, and bridging the gap between disputing parties.

He said that they held fruitful meetings and dialogues with disputing parties in Sennar State to understand the root causes of the problem, emphasizing that the state supports peaceful coexistence and that rights must be upheld through the law. He also pointed to the necessity of maximizing social efforts and increasing community awareness.

For his part, the Head of National Reconciliation in Sennar State, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Awad, stated that the law must be the arbiter in redressing grievances, emphasizing the importance of upholding the voice of truth.
