Geological Research Authority Supports Al-Hilal Al-Fashir and Al-Merreikh Port Sudan as Part of Its Social Responsibility

The Geological Research Authority, as part of its social responsibility and commitment to supporting sports and national activities, provided in-kind support to the delegations of Al-Hilal Al-Fashir and Al-Merreikh Port Sudan. The support was delivered at the teams’ residence in the Barkwit area, in an effort to boost their journey and participation in national competitions.

A delegation from the Authority visited the two teams, including the Director of Financial and Human Resources Affairs, Essam Babiker, the Head of the Workers’ Union, Jalal Mahjoub, along with several department directors. The delegation emphasized the Authority’s commitment to supporting sports and strengthening its community role toward national institutions and events.

Officials from both teams praised the initiative, describing it as a reflection of solidarity and national support—especially as Al-Hilal Al-Fashir participates in the Elite League. They noted that the gesture would have a positive impact in supporting the players and boosting their morale ahead of the competitions.

The Authority’s delegation reaffirmed that supporting the sports sector is part of its broader social responsibility programs, driven by its belief in the importance of sports in promoting national cohesion and building a united society.
