Ethiopia… Conspiracy Without Limits!!

By: Ramadan Mahjoub

■ Talk of Ethiopia’s involvement in the Sudanese bloodbath is no longer mere speculation or baseless accusations hurled by those who care about this nation’s soil. The stark realities are being revealed day by day, documented by impartial satellite imagery, exposing the dirty role Addis Ababa is playing in supporting the treacherous militias.

■ The report issued by Yale University about a month ago clarified matters, revealing suspicious movements at the Assosa Air Base, where military and logistical supplies flow openly to fuel the war machine led by Dagalo militia against unarmed Sudanese citizens and against state institutions that stand firm against this externally supported conspiracy.

■ It fills the heart with resentment and sorrow to see a country we once considered a pillar of support transformed into a corridor of death and a launching pad for drones targeting Port Sudan and other areas. Meanwhile, the Ethiopian leadership sheds crocodile tears over Sudan’s stability, while simultaneously opening its borders and bases to become a poisoned dagger aimed at the heart of the Blue Nile and threatening the strategic security of Kurmuk.

■ This blatant support, revealed by the Humanitarian Research Laboratory, including “Technical” trucks and white armored vehicles unlike Ethiopian equipment, confirms that Addis Ababa is merely a conduit for a larger conspiracy, funded by well-known regional actors, most notably the UAE, which is determined to set Sudan ablaze to achieve its delusions of hegemony and extend its influence through unscrupulous, mercenary proxies. The international community, which makes a great deal of noise about human rights and international law, stands today helpless or complicit, doing nothing to deter Addis Ababa or restrain Abu Dhabi, as if Sudanese blood has become cheap in the marketplace of international interests. This leaves the Sudanese people alone in their struggle for survival, facing an international and regional conspiracy whose waves crash against the rock of their steadfastness.

The expansion of Assosa Airport, the construction of new concrete hangars, and the intensification of logistical activity are all evidence that we are not only facing an internal rebellion, but also a full-fledged external aggression that uses these lands as a launching pad. This gives Sudan the full right, according to all international norms, to respond in kind and protect its national security by all legitimate means. Those deluded individuals in Addis Ababa and other capitals of conspiracy must realize that Sudan, with its steadfast army and proud people, possesses the leverage and power to turn the tables on everyone. The Sudanese state’s policy of restraint has its limits, and its hands will not remain tied in the face of those who shed our blood and seize our land.

History does not forgive traitors, nor does it pardon those who sell their consciences for a handful of dollars. The militia that believes it can rule Sudan through the barrels of guns imported from beyond its borders is deluded. Sudan is unbreakable, and this ordeal will pass, whether sooner or later. The nation will remain proud, while the militia and its supporters will be consigned to the dustbin of history, unmourned. What is happening in Blue Nile State—the displacement of thousands of people from Kurmuk and its surrounding areas—is a stain on humanity and a grave crime for which the Ethiopian authorities bear full responsibility. They have allowed themselves to become a rear base for bandits and a weapons depot that claims innocent lives, at a time when Sudan was the first to extend a helping hand to them in their times of crisis.

Those who have committed injustice will soon know what fate awaits them. The Sudanese flag will continue to fly high despite the schemes of the schemers and the conspiracies of the conspirators. The militias are doomed, and their supporters will be consumed by the flames of the sedition they ignited. Ultimately, Sudanese justice will prevail, for this land has been watered with the blood of martyrs and will never allow itself to be defiled by the feet of mercenaries or the meddling of the greedy.
