Army Repels Attack on First Day of Eid

The Sudanese Armed Forces announced on Wednesday that they and their supporting forces successfully repelled an attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces militia on the Al-Baraka area in the Blue Nile region on the first day of Eid al-Adha. They confirmed inflicting heavy casualties on the attackers and seizing a number of combat vehicles and military equipment.

The announcement of repelling the attack coincided with confirmation from military sources that the army had completely besieged the city of Kurmuk after advancing on the battlefronts surrounding the city.
