Armed Forces: Deputy Chief of Staff Chairs Meeting of Committee to Evacuate Khartoum of Combat Forces

Lieutenant General Abdul-Khair Abdullah Nasser, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, chaired a meeting of the committee tasked with evacuating Khartoum State of combat forces and collecting weapons. The meeting was attended by Police Lieutenant General Dr. Siraj Al-Din Mansour Khalid, Director of Khartoum State Police, and commanders of military zones and joint forces.
The meeting is part of the efforts of the security and state authority committees aimed at strengthening security and stability and extending state authority in the capital.
Brigadier General Fath Al-Rahman Muhammad Al-Toumi, the official spokesperson for the police forces and head of the media committee for the security and state authority committee, explained that the meeting discussed strengthening coordination among the committee’s members, enhancing joint work between security agencies, and controlling the movement of combat vehicles and armed individuals within Khartoum State.
He added that the meeting agreed on deploying security patrols and cordons to eliminate negative phenomena and security breaches, and to support the efforts of the State Security Committee to enforce the rule of law, create a safe environment for citizens to return to their areas, and move forward with normalizing civilian life.
The meeting concluded with a number of decisions and recommendations aimed at strengthening security and reassurance and instilling a sense of stability among the citizens of Khartoum State in the coming period.
