Additional Medical Package in Khartoum Discusses Ways to Improve Performance at Service Points

The first meeting of insurance officers working within the Additional Medical Package Program was held at the program’s headquarters in Omdurman, chaired by the program director, Dr. Al-Farabi Ibrahim. The meeting came as part of the program’s efforts to enhance performance and unify perspectives among insurance officers across various service outlets in Khartoum State.

Dr. Al-Farabi affirmed that the meeting represents an important step toward improving operations at service outlets, noting that insurance officers form the backbone of the program and the primary gateway for delivering services in an efficient and organized manner.

He explained that the meeting brought together all insurance officers working at centers providing Additional Medical Package services, with the aim of listening to their views and suggestions, and discussing the key challenges and difficulties they face in performing their duties. This, he said, would contribute to developing practical solutions to improve the level of service.

He further noted that the meeting resulted in several important recommendations, foremost among them the need to focus on continuous training and capacity building for staff. He announced the launch of a series of training courses starting next week to support performance development and achieve the desired quality standards.

Participants also agreed to hold the meeting on a regular monthly basis to strengthen coordination and continuous follow-up, contributing to the development of work and the improvement of services provided across the program’s various outlets.
