The Sudanese Armed Forces launched a large-scale and coordinated drone attack targeting gatherings and vital positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the Sheikan locality of North Kordofan State, resulting in heavy casualties and material losses for the militia.

Field sources reported that the airstrikes precisely targeted locations east of Qarafi, Umm Samima, and Khor Farshaha, with attacks carried out simultaneously on several axes. This aerial tactic led to complete disruption of the militia’s deployment and supply lines in the area, amid reports of the destruction of combat vehicles and logistical platforms.

This attack reflects the armed forces’ new strategy of expanding operations and tightening the noose around militia strongholds in the Kordofan region, relying heavily on “technological superiority” and drones to ensure precise targeting and minimize field risks. This aims to cripple the rebels’ fighting capabilities and weaken their movements in the strategic areas surrounding El Obeid.
