PM Reveals Features of Sudan’s “Marshall Plan”

Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris met with a number of senior journalists in Khartoum, where he provided a comprehensive briefing on the government’s priorities for the next phase. He emphasized that peace remains the central issue, without which security and stability cannot be achieved.

Dr. Khalid Al-Tijani stated, following the meeting, that the Prime Minister clearly outlined the government’s ongoing steps to launch a package of strategic projects, foremost among them the “Marshall Plan” for Sudan, aimed at rebuilding what the war destroyed and enabling the country to recover and unleash its considerable economic potential.

Al-Tijani explained that the Prime Minister stressed the importance of investment and maximizing the benefits of Sudan’s geographical location and the vast opportunities available in various sectors, in addition to the efforts being made to restore normalcy in the affected states.

The meeting also addressed the expected role of the media and Sudanese society in the coming phase, as they are essential partners in supporting stability and consolidating the national recovery process. The journalists’ delegation included Dr. Khaled Al-Tijani, Al-Tahir Sati, Al-Nour Ahmed Al-Nour, Muhammad Abdul-Qadir, and Muhammad Jamal Qandoul.
