NSWF: Solar Powering All Dormitories, University Security Police Affirms Stability

Dr. Ahmed Hamza Al-Amin, Secretary-General of the National Students Welfare Fund, confirmed that their visit to Shandi University was part of a series of visits to Sudanese universities by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Madawi.

He explained that their visit to the universities, accompanying the Minister, aimed to assess student housing conditions. He added that the Fund is working to improve the living environment and provide essential services.

He noted that the NSWF is currently working on providing solar power, and that the Fund’s slogan is “Solar Power for Every Dormitory.” Dr. Ahmed Al-Amin Hamza revealed that the Fund has begun installing solar power in several dormitories in River Nile State, and that work is ongoing until all dormitories are covered with alternative energy sources.

Meanwhile, Major General Tariq Abdullah Mohammed, Director of the General Directorate of University Security Police, stated that universities are experiencing significant stability in the educational process. He added in press statements that the delegation accompanying the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research includes members of the University Security Police. The National Students Welfare Fund visited Shandi University, and the university security police have a presence there, in addition to the university guards, working to secure students and university facilities. He confirmed that conditions are proceeding smoothly at Shandi University and other universities.
