Memorial Service for Air Marshal Al-Fatih Urwa and Launch of a Documentary Project on His Career

Zain Telecom organized a memorial service yesterday, Saturday, at the Al Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum for the late Air Marshal Al-Fatih Mohammed Ahmed Urwa. The event, which saw wide official and community participation, was the first major event in the capital since the restoration of stability.

The occasion also witnessed the launch of the documentary project “The Departure of the Samurai,” which chronicles the life of the deceased through a documentary film, a book, and a photographic exhibition showcasing the most prominent milestones of his life.

Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Ahmed Al-Dardiri Ghandour, representing the Prime Minister, praised the virtues of the deceased and his significant contributions in the military, diplomatic, and economic fields, particularly his role in developing the telecommunications sector.

For its part, Zain affirmed that the progress achieved during his leadership represents a lasting legacy, while the family of the deceased expressed their appreciation for this initiative, emphasizing his enduring presence in the hearts of the Sudanese people.
