CBOS Announces Currency Exchange Start in Three States Next Wednesday

The Central Bank of Sudan (SBOS) announced the start of the currency exchange process for the 1,000 and 500 Sudanese pound denominations in the states of Khartoum, Gezira, and White Nile, beginning April 15, 2026, and continuing until May 15, 2026.
In a press release, the bank urged all citizens in the affected states, especially those without bank accounts, to expedite opening bank accounts to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the currency exchange process.
