Turkish Red Crescent and the Sudanese Red Crescent Launch the Iftar Program in Omdurman

The Turkish Red Crescent Society, in partnership with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society – Khartoum State Branch, launched a fasting Iftar program in the Omdurman locality in the areas of Al-Shiqla and Al-Jamaa neighborhoods, as part of its efforts to support the displaced and those affected by the war.
Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Ali, Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society Khartoum Branch, addressed the inauguration event, appreciating the role of Turkey and the Turkish Red Crescent Society in supporting those affected by the war in Sudan ,stressing the Society’s stand by the displaced people from Darfur and Kordofan, and welcoming them to Khartoum State, he revealed the provision of 5,500 Ramadan baskets provided by the Turkish Red Crescent Society in support of families affected by the war.
Mohamed also saluted the Secretary General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, and the President of the Society, Dr. Abdulrahman Beleid.
The spokesperson for the displaced expressed their happiness with this initiative, thanking the Turkish Red Crescent Society and the Sudanese Red Crescent Branch of Khartoum State.
