Sudan wins international recognition for the success of the 2025 saturated mosquito nets distribution campaign

The Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) and the National Campaign for the Distribution of Saturated Mosquito Nets 2025 team received high-level international recognition at
Joint Annual Meetings of the SMC Alliance and Alliance for Malaria Prevention held in Kampala, in acknowledgment of the great success of the implementation of the collective campaign to distribute nets.

The campaign was carried out under complex operational conditions in 12 states, including Darfur and Kordofan, in April 2025, underscoring Sudan’s ability to meet challenges and strengthen the protection of communities most at risk of malaria.

The Ministry of Health also praised the ongoing partnership with UNICEF and the Global Fund for their pivotal role in supporting and sustaining life-saving interventions in the field of malaria prevention.

In press statements, Hamza Sami, Director of Counter Carrier Control at the Ministry, explained that they raised the slogan: “Despite what happened, we must continue,” thanking everyone who contributed to the success of the campaign.
