The Union Euro-Arab of Geomatics (UEAG) approves the university’s nomination for the Creative Excellence Award in France

The Euro-Arab Geomatics Union approved the nomination of Al-Neelain University in Sudan to receive the Creative Excellence Award, which will be organized in France in April 2026. An official letter was sent to the Rector of the University to inform him of this honor.

During the meeting of the Union in Addis Ababa with its Executive Committee, an extensive discussion was held on the nomination of African academic institutions. Al-Neelain University won the confidence of the committee in appreciation of its tradition and leadership, as well as for its initiative in opening its doors to students during a delicate stage in Sudan’s history. The university has continued the educational process from within the campus despite the surrounding challenges, a step that was widely accepted by the faculty and students.

The university is one of the largest African universities in terms of the number of students, and it has distinguished itself in legal and commercial studies. Its graduates have proven to be highly efficient in the labor market. It has witnessed remarkable academic and administrative expansion in recent years, which has strengthened its position among higher education institutions in the region.

The Chairman and members of the Scientific Committee reviewed the nomination file in full detail, and after a careful review of the criteria and data provided, they confirmed that the university meets the conditions for the award, with a recommendation to nominate it in the field of leadership in legal studies and academic stability.

The Union ‘s session congratulated this achievement, praising the leadership role of the university administration in raising the institution to the level of international competition.

The nomination decision was also officially made, and the approved letter was sent, while emphasizing the commitment to the award’s criteria in the themes of the introductory book, documentary, photo magazine, and accompanying exhibition.

At this juncture in Sudan’s history, this nomination is a source of pride for higher education and a real opportunity for further progress and prosperity.
