Statement from the Administration of Al-Neelain University

Further to the outcomes of the meeting of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held on Wednesday, 25/3/2026, with the directors of public universities, it was approved to distribute the provided support and increase the wages and salaries of professors and workers by 100%. In addition, there will be efforts to seek further improvements and allocate funds to support the training of professors inside and outside Sudan, as well as to meet the needs of universities located in war zones.

The senior administration of Al-Neelain University extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister, and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning for this great support, which comes in light of the delicate circumstances that the country is going through.

The Department also appreciates the efforts of all employees in higher education and scientific research, as well as their patience regarding the effects of the aggression by the Rapid Support Militia on the country, the people, and higher education institutions. They have taken into account the critical circumstances that the country is going through and have remained faithful to the Covenant, steadfast in their national position, and supportive of the armed forces as they carry out their duty to repel the aggression and defend the homeland.

The administration of Al-Neelain University confirms that these increases will represent a strong motivation for greater contributions and efforts, in a way that contributes to the stability of the educational process in higher education institutions, accelerates the return of universities to perform their national and societal roles, resumes their academic and scientific activities, and overcomes the effects of the aggression on their institutions and employees as soon as possible.
