SAPA Provides More Than 3 Million Meals and Supports 750,000 Patients in Sudan by 2025

The Sudanese Physicians Association of America (SAPA) has released its annual report for 2025, which reviewed its most prominent humanitarian and medical interventions in Sudan during the past year, along with figures and field achievements.

According to the report, the association distributed more than 3,104,513 meals to the most vulnerable groups in the community and provided direct health services to 750,053 patients in various states. A qualified health staff supervised 14,086 deliveries, and the association operated 397 mobile clinics to expand access to medical services.

The report noted that 103,194 children under the age of five were vaccinated, 106 health facilities were supported, and 319,976 children were screened for malnutrition. The association also treated 17,666 admissions for the treatment of severe acute malnutrition and provided 11,879 psychosocial support sessions.

In terms of capacity building, 1,943 medical and community workers were trained through training workshops, 2,167 health workers benefited from incentive programs, and 15 health facilities were rehabilitated.

The report stressed that these efforts are part of the association’s commitment to strengthening health and humanitarian services in Sudan and supporting the most vulnerable groups in light of the difficult circumstances the country is facing.
