Government Reveals Latest Developments Regarding Secondary School Certificate Exams

Ministers of Interior and National Education confirmed that the 2026 secondary school certificate exams will be held as scheduled. This confirmation came during a meeting of the Examinations Emergency Room held yesterday (Wednesday), chaired by Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa, Minister of Interior and head of the room, and attended by Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zein Hajar, Minister of National Education, along with representatives from relevant authorities.

In a statement to the Police Press Office, the Minister of National Education explained that the meeting confirmed the readiness of all examination centers inside and outside Sudan. He noted that the Ministry has completed its technical and administrative arrangements for conducting the exams on April 13, 2026, across 2,500 centers within Sudan and 35 centers abroad. He also commended the community initiatives that have contributed to supporting the examination process under the current circumstances.

The minister noted that the alternative secondary school certificate exams for refugee students in western Chad were completed on May 11, 2026, emphasizing that the ministry is working to guarantee the rights of all students, wherever they may be.

He urged families and students to disregard rumors and rely solely on information issued by the Ministry of National Education and Training and official media outlets.
