China Announces Readiness to Contribute to Sudan’s Reconstruction

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sudan, Xu Jian, expressed his country’s readiness to contribute to the reconstruction of what the war destroyed in Sudan, confirming that proposals in this regard are included in Beijing’s foreign policy.
In a press briefing in Port Sudan on Sunday, he indicated that he sensed the government’s seriousness in rebuilding Khartoum State and the entire country during his recent visit to Khartoum. He explained that the unity of Sudan and its territorial integrity are important to China, and that China has consistently defended this principle. He noted that relations between the two countries are witnessing continuous development and that his country pays special attention to Sudan.
Jian affirmed China’s keenness to implement many economic projects between the two countries with the aim of developing Sudan and improving its infrastructure. He praised the Sudanese government’s efforts to preserve its territorial integrity against the threats it faces as a result of the events that Sudan has been witnessing since April 15, 2023.
