Army Regains Control of Strategic Area

The Sudanese Armed Forces, supported by allied forces, regained control of the Al-Takma area, located on the Dilling-Habila road, a day after the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) entered the area, according to field sources.

On Sunday, platforms affiliated with the RSF announced they had cut off the Dilling-Habila road and attacked army positions in Dilling. Army forces then launched a flanking maneuver, encircling the attacking force within Al-Takma and forcing them to retreat.

According to the sources, the clashes resulted in casualties and equipment losses, and the army recovered several combat vehicles left behind at the site of the fighting.

In this context, the spokesperson for the Kordofan Special Operations Forces, Mohamed Didan, stated that the battle is entering a “decisive phase,” suggesting a possible shift in the course of operations in the coming period. He noted that training workshops were observed over the past two weeks in both Nairobi and Addis Ababa, which, he said, addressed topics related to psychological warfare and rumor management, with the participation of more than one hundred personnel. He added that, in his view, the battle requires greater cohesion on the home front and in the media, considering the nature of field combat to be complex and not something that can be dealt with through quick solutions.
