The Governor of Khartoum Addresses the Conclusion of the First Forum on Women’s Issues and the Challenges of the Current Situation

The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, addressed the conclusion of the activities of the first forum on women’s issues and the challenges of the current situation at the Omdurman Cultural Center. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Social Development, in the presence of the Minister and Director General of the Ministry of Social Development, Siddiq Frieni.
The Governor of Khartoum stressed the importance of women’s issues and saluted their national roles and their stand during the battle for dignity. He stated that the state has now moved from the stage of providing food aid to establishing a decent life in the aftermath of what was destroyed by the war. He pointed out that the post-war stage requires great effort from all segments of society, calling for the importance of gathering ideas and financing the projects .
The Director General of the Ministry of Social Development confirmed that Khartoum has overcome the war phase and is transitioning to the construction and reconstruction phase. He thanked all the women’s sectors that contributed effectively to the forum, which resulted in a vision that enhances the role of women during the next phase, as well as all those who contributed.
