Minnawi and Free People of Eastern Sudan discuss Strengthening National Unity

Commander Minni Arko Minnawi, Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement and Governor of Darfur, met with the leadership of the Free People of Eastern Sudan Coalition. The meeting focused on ways to enhance coordination and joint action between the two sides, aiming to unify national efforts to address the issues of marginalized areas in Sudan and translate them into practical programs and decisions.
The meeting addressed the political and social dimensions of issues in eastern Sudan. Mohamed Ibrahim, Chairman of the Free People of Eastern Sudan Coalition, highlighted the coalition’s role in supporting stability and promoting community participation. He emphasized the importance of addressing marginalized issues and cooperating with the Sudan Liberation Army Movement to move to the final stage of coordination.
For his part, Commander Minni Arko Minnawi welcomed the national initiative, stressing the importance of national unity and integrated efforts. He affirmed that the next phase will be one of joint action and development, requiring a commitment to implementing programs and plans that serve the interests of Sudanese society in various marginalized areas.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of continued dialogue and consultation among leaders to strengthen partnerships and leverage the expertise of all parties in developing practical solutions to existing challenges. This will promote peace, stability, and development in both eastern Sudan and Darfur.
