Minister of Energy Meets with Turkish Company Big Way

Minister of Energy, Engineer Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed, discussed with the Turkish company Big Way ways to invest in the Sudanese oil sector. He reviewed promising opportunities in oil exploration, field services, refineries, petroleum imports, and financing. He revealed that the petroleum sector offers promising investment opportunities, whether in producing fields that need development or new fields offered for investment. He also highlighted investment opportunities in rehabilitating refineries and petroleum product pipelines. The Minister praised the distinguished relations with Turkey, noting the joint cooperation between the two countries in the electricity sector.
He explained that the Ministry of Energy plays a significant and important role in providing electricity and fuel to meet the increasing demand resulting from the large-scale voluntary return of displaced persons in Khartoum State and other states.
Mr. Nader Kashkari, General Manager of the Turkish Big Way Group, affirmed their strong interest in pursuing investment opportunities in the petroleum sector. He highlighted the company’s size and capabilities in providing petroleum services and importing petroleum products. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Darouqi, Executive Director of the company’s Sudan office, added that the company is ready to immediately engage in available opportunities within the petroleum sector and is prepared to review submitted proposals.
The meeting was also attended by Engineer Al-Sadiq Mahmoud Jaber, a member of the Steering Committee of the Agent’s Office, and Dr. Hisham Taj Al-Sir, General Manager of Nile Petroleum Company.
