The Regional Director of “SAPA” meets with the Governor of Khartoum and announces the opening of Bahri Hospital

The Regional Director of the Sudanese Physicians Association in the United States (SAPA), Dr. Mohamed Al-Amin Abu Manga, met with the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza. Also present were the Country Director, Dr. Faisal Ahmed Al-Nour, and several officials, including the Acting Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Taha Al-Kabbashi, the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, Al-Tayeb Saad El-Din, and the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Khaled Abdel Rahim.

Governor Hamza commended the significant role of SAPA in bolstering the health sector and renovating hospitals within the state, emphasizing that SAPA’s contributions are a valuable enhancement to the healthcare system.

The SAPA delegation confirmed that preparations are now finalized and that Bahri Hospital will be inaugurated on the fourteenth of this month. A high-level delegation from the United States, headed by the organization’s president, Dr. Yasser Al-Amin, and including a number of donors, will attend the ceremony. The meeting with the governor was part of the preparations for the projects to be presented to the visiting delegation.

In response, the governor extended a welcome to the incoming delegation, noting that the reopening of Bahri Hospital marks a crucial step in expanding health services. He also indicated that other priority matters could be discussed with the visiting delegation.

Bahri Hospital will become one of several essential health facilities that SAPA has rehabilitated and supported, such as the Saudi Maternity Hospital in Omdurman, Al Sororab Hospital, and various other health institutions.
